Hartford, CT, founded in 1635 is the capital of Connecticut and is among the oldest cities in the United States. Hartford is home to roughly 125,000 residents making it Connecticut's fourth-largest city after the coastal cities of Bridgeport, New Haven, and Stamford. Even though it is one of the oldest metro areas in the U.S., Hartford has a lot to offer, both old and new.
The area attracts people from all walks of life and has a very diverse population. Nearly 15 percent of the state’s population was born in another country, and immigrants are an integral part of Connecticut’s diverse and flourishing communities.
